High Rock — Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024

Spectacular sunny views today! One of the best viewpoints of Mt Rainier. Today also had great views of Adams, Helens, Goat Rocks, and Tattoosh range. Hiked 45 minutes each way, plus an additional 90 minutes at the top enjoying the summit. Met 12 other hikers. Light dusting of snow at the very top which added to the beauty, the walking was not difficult. NF-52 is still open past the turnoff onto Forest Road 84, so no problem driving to the trailhead.
