Wonderful fall hike today. We arrived at the trailhead at 9:30 with only 8 cars present. The trail is in great condition with no significant snow present on the trail, just a few areas at the highest elevation along side the trail. There are a few remaining maples with fall color but most have dropped their leaves a this point. We spent an hour up at the lake having lunch while 2 otters swam and frolicked about. Pikas were abundant along the trail and up at the lake.
