If you prefer changing scenery and views along your route then this hike isn’t for you. It is a quiet, serene hike with intermittent views of the ridge along the initial stretch. From there it’s forest, picking up sounds of water as you near the bridge. Currently lots of interesting mushrooms and other fungi along the trail. Snow on the first portion of the hike but the trail is clear, only slightly muddy in places. The road to the hike is snow and ice for roughly the last mile.
