Trail was generally well marked and easy to follow; in good condition overall but some slippery or icy bits. Talapus and Olallie lakes both gorgeous. Snow on ground by the time you reach the bridges. Would recommend microspikes/trekking poles but trail was navigable even without (had to loan mine to hiking partner). Fun Canada Jays by Talapus, otherwise no notable wildlife. the highlight of this hike is the lakes; not a *huge* amount of views and vistas of other things. No huge elevation gain.
