Started at 1pm. Lower lot was half full. No snow until 2600 feet up but it was light and not slippery. A couple down trees from the last couple wind storms but not too hard to move around. Lot more snow a couple hundred feet before the convergence of the old and new trails. The talus slope had lots of snow but the path was well traveled. It wasn’t until about 100 yards from the top where the snow was very deep in a couple spots 16-24” deep and a little bit of post holing to the top. The wind really kicked up at the talus slope too. I’m glad I brought an extra layer at that point. I was in Altra hiking shoes and microspikes and was just fine. I didn’t put the microspikes on until I reached the talus slope. Going down was fine with them on too. A couple other dogs out there today too.
