A nice morning hike to Garfield Ledges this morning! We took the Middle Fork Connector trail from the Middle Fork Snoqualmie trailhead to the Garfield Ledges trailhead, then continued up to the ledges.
THE ROAD / PARKING
We got to the Middle Fork Snoqualmie trailhead parking lot around 9:20 this morning, and it wasn't even half full. No issues with the road or the parking lot — it's all in pristine condition.
When we returned to the parking lot around noon, there were more cars in the lot but still plenty of spaces left.
The road from the Middle Fork Snoqualmie trailhead to the Garfield Ledges trailhead still has big potholes on the other side of the bridge, as well as in the parking lot.
The bathroom is open at the Middle Fork Snoqualmie trailhead parking lot, but there's no toilet paper. One of the toilets at the Garfield Ledges trailhead is also open.
THE TRAIL
The trails are overall in good shape! There's one blowdown on the Middle Fork Connector trail that we had to climb over, but it wasn't too bad. The trail up to the ledges was in good shape, just a little muddy in places.
MISC.
It was a pretty quiet day on the Middle Fork. We didn't encounter practically anyone on our way up, and just a few parties on the way down.
We didn't get a ton of views at the top on account of fog, but it still made for a great vista.
