Classic moody, slightly rainy PNW day. First hike of 2025!
Parked at the Middle Fork Snoqualmie trailhead parking lot. No issues finding parking this morning. Roads leading up to this lot were great and accessible by any vehicle. Vault toilet open here, but no toilet paper.
Did the connector trail to reach Garfield ledges trailhead. Noticed some pretty gnarly potholes on the road leading up to that parking lot (so just a heads up); no toilet here.
Trail was wet and muddy, but in pretty good condition with the exception of some downed trees across the trail (not too difficult to maneuver over). There are some steep stairs, so I’d recommend hiking poles for folks who may need it.
Beautiful lush moss covered trees and other vegetation along the way, and great view of the valley through intermittent clouds and fog!
