May Valley Loop, Equestrian Loop & Phil's Creek Connector — Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025

Hiked a loop on Squak today. On All Trails it’s called “May Valley Short Loop” this goes through May Valley Loop to Squak Mtn Rd SE to Phil’s Connector to Equestrian Loop.

The trail was in good shape, there was only one tree down (easy to navigate), I believe it was on equestrian loop of not Phil’s connector. Otherwise, there has been some good work done post storm to make the trail manageable.

There is tons of fungi on the hike! Also, heard a wood pecker and pacific wren.

The trail has some mud and a couple spots with a tiny bit of water. Overall, in great shape!

When I arrived back to the trailhead, the parking lot was completely full.
