Marten Lake — Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025

Moose the mountain dog and I made it up to Marten lake on a nice January day. The climbers/fisherman's trail that leaves the main Snoqualmie lake trail is rough in places but mostly easy to follow. Currently the snow starts above 2000ft and the trail is mostly snow covered above 2500ft. Once snow covered the route is more challenging to follow as parts are quite steep, so proceed with caution. Except for a few places, the snow is not very deep, but microspikes and poles are helpful. The lake is snow covered and quite beautiful. Worth the trip!
