Such a nasty day for a hike, so we picked one close to home. Once you drive off the bridge and head to Langus Park, there are a couple of low spots that have huge puddles so don't wash your car before you do this walk. Restrooms were open, but there is also a portapotty if they get closed. We stayed on the paved trails by the treatment plant and did not venture onto the islands, the trails there have deteriorated badly and we didn't want to deal with the muddy mess. Along the trail by the lagoon we saw the first pussy willows of the year! There are some resident eagles that hang out here, we saw 2 juveniles and one mature one, but we could not find the nest. Plenty of ducks on the lagoons and one harbor seal by the boat ramp. We got soaked buy a coffee stop warmed us up afterward.
