Rina reporting,
GATE CLOSES @4PM.
Today, me and my dad went hiking with his friend. We started hiking at 8:45am and we wanted to go through the Teneriffe Falls.
We ended up not stopping at the falls because we wanted to keep going as we did not know what time we would be back. From the falls it became very steep. If you go up this trail, along the way it ended up being pretty slippery. A couple of the boulder crossings were slippery, so please use caution.
Overall, the trail was okay but at the last bit it got icy and slippery with lots of snow. We did end up putting on our micro spikes.
From there, the snow did get a lot deeper. At one section, a hiker said that they saw mountain goats. Then when we went to the top, it was pretty hard because the snow was deeper and it was getting harder to walk. We watched the mountain goats for a little bit then we went down.
Before we went down I got Starburst mini's. They were good.
We were running down because we wanted to make it in time for the parking lot before it closed. Finally, we were back to the parking lot by 3:50.
After the hike, we went to Dairy Queen and I got a cookie dough Reese's pieces blizzard.
