This was a good choice on a dreary day. We walked about two miles starting from the day use parking area then following the trail along the river. Eventually we reached a point where some scrambling up tree roots was required to continue. From there we veered right and went through the yurt area and back down to the parking area. We walked a little farther the other way along the river past the tent camping area. There were some muddy areas but not too bad. The restrooms at the day use area were closed, but there was a porta-pottie staged next to the building.
