Oyster Dome — Sunday, Apr. 13, 2025

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area

We arrived at the Oyster Dome Trailhead (Samish Overlook) at 9:20am. The parking lot was full, but there was still parking along the dirt road. The trail was in great condition with no obstacles in the way. There were many dogs out enjoying the hike. The hike took us about 2.5 hours at a moderate pace and with enjoying the view at the top for 45 minutes. There was a kind hiker at the Oyster Dome viewpoint offering everyone his bread, which many people gladly accepted.

And just a little heads up, you might find some dog poop bags scattered along the trail. Hope everyone can be more responsible and respectful to other hikers, people maintaining the trails, and nature itself.
