Hiked on Monday, 4/14/25 (better a late report than never!). This is an overall fairly moderate trail with steady elevation gain, but substantial distance off the beaten path from Wallace Falls! I arrived around 8:30 on Monday to only a handful of cars in the large parking lot. The road is paved and easy for all to access. There is a good bathroom and trash cans, etc. at the trailhead (plus a little gift shop that is open on busier days!). The trail is well-maintained and easy to follow throughout, so I did not have to reference my trail map as frequently. Gorgeous, quiet day on the lake and in the forest (minis background logging, haha!). So glad to have found this gem! Snow-free now, and I clocked about 8 miles in about 3.5 hours with about 1600' elevation. I did not have my dog at the time, but would have felt comfortable with him.
