My daughter and I took this hike with a friend who was visiting from out of town. It was an easy, pleasant hike even though our friend was completely unprepared for hiking. We didn’t go all the way to the falls but instead chose a spot by the river downstream aways. There were definitely bugs but we really only noticed them when we stopped, however, I do have one or two decent bites that I’m noticing today. Trail conditions were generally excellent with only a couple of trees down that looked like they’d been that way for sometime. This would make a great hike for small children and beginner hikers - or visiting friends with absolutely no gear and all the wrong clothes ;)
