Road was bumpy but no problem in my Tahoe. I had crashed at the trailhead the night before not to have to do the long drive in the morning. Beautiful evening! The parking lot is large and has a loop with a few campsites with picnic tables. The pit toilet was open and in great shape.
Had the sweet experience of joining WTA on one of their day trail crews. We cleared a LOT of slide alder moved many boulders to re-establish the trail where a creek had washed out the trail. We also worked to split cedar planks for use in future projects. Plenty of sweat, laughs, and got some work done!
