Very nice trail. Loved hearing the roar of the tributary river nearby, almost a constant falls down the very steep hill. The small dark-green ferns were lying flat against the moss from, I guess, a recent heavy load of snow. We knew we'd run into snow eventually, but started up it anyway out of curiosity. Ran into snow after several of the first set of switchbacks - I think we were about halfway up, about 4,000 feet elevation. Turned around.
The Nisqually River was almost crystal clear today, and low.
