Memaloose Hills — Saturday, Apr. 26, 2025

Southwest Washington > Columbia River Gorge - OR
Memaloose Hills by inayemaria

Started hiking at 4:45 PM — way later than I’d normally like, but it worked out. The parking lot was packed, and cars were even parked along the shoulder of the road (if you can even call it that).

It took me about 2.5 hours to complete the hike, but keep in mind that around an hour of that was just stopping for photos. I tend to take my sweet time soaking everything in.

There were lots of people on the trail, but thankfully, I didn’t see anyone disrespecting Leave No Trace, even with all the wildflowers in full bloom.

I hiked counterclockwise, and honestly, I have no idea how people manage the uphill the other way around.

Overall, the trail is very well maintained. It was definitely crowded, but the flowers and the views more than made up for it. Mt. Hood was out and looking absolutely beautiful
