Pratt Connector to Pratt River Trail — Thursday, May. 1, 2025

Hiked up to the Big Tree on Friday, 5/1. The trail was in great shape most of the way. It was muddy in a few spots, the salmonberry was starting to encroach on the trail past the campsite, and we encountered a few trees across the trail, but it's still easily passable. We missed one turn on the way back since the trail becomes a little harder to follow past the camp, but we didn't have to backtrack far. We heard what sounded like an owl pretty close by; also spotted what looked like a big cat print on the path in the mud. Hiked about 9.42 miles with 1144' elevation gain.
