Alta Lake State Park — Wednesday, May. 7, 2025

This is a short .75 mile of trail accessed from the campgrounds at Alta Lake, but it gains 700' and provides a nice view and a quick workout. You can see the entire Alta lake valley, Pateros and the columbia river from this perch. Keep an eye out for rattlesnakes in this area as the weather warms up. The campgrounds and facilities are immaculately maintained and we really enjoyed staying a quiet night before the summer crowds arrive.
