Hex Mountain — Friday, May. 16, 2025

Parked off the road outside of the Private Property gate, staying on the road until coming up to a yellow gate to continue onward. downloading the map/route off of AllTrails was helpful for this trail, as it is easy in certain areas to miss the trail in some sections or even the "start" of the Hex Mtn trail. I made a Cairn , hoping it'll help future hikers 😘

This was a very quiet trail, only saw two sets of hikers in my 4 hour round trip! the trail is overgrown in some sections, but not too bad, and there are a LOT of downed trees on the trail. they were all manageable to cross over/ around, but this trail could use a little TLC for sure. Saw an adolescent white tailed deer on the trail, and had beautiful views from the top. wildflowers are in full bloom and it was completely snow free. it's a hard hike, but it was worth the effort.
