Not much to report on this one. The trail is in excellent condition. I think there was one blowdown across the trail that wouldn’t slow down a toddler.
Since I didn’t get started early enough to beat the crowds, I waited until late afternoon, which did the trick. I ran into a few groups, but it never felt crowded.
I believe this was my first time hiking Mt. Walker when the road was open, which makes it an entirely different experience at the top. It was more crowded up there than it ever felt on the trail, but everyone was having fun and making room for others to take their pictures. I didn’t even stop for my ritual summit snack before heading back down.
