Road conditions: the road up was clear until about 0.2 miles from the trailhead where large patches of snow remain.
Trail conditions: Unfortunately I was only able to get to about "tinkham tarn boot trail" before turning around. I was able to cross on steam where the snow had just cleared, but right after was a stream still covered with soft snow. At this point I would give it a week or two and hopefully this section will be a bit more melted. Micro spikes would probably be a good idea for the last push up the lake.
Population: I was the only person there at 8am, when I hit the road there were two other groups coming up.
Side note: post holing was pretty constant so please be careful bring trekking poles and remember it's ok to turn around! ✌️

Hi! My wife and I saw you just as we hit the trail at Windy Pass! We only made it in about half a mile before we came to a stream crossing that pushed my wife past her comfort zone! Definitely will be nicer conditions in a few weeks.
