This trip report is for dog owners: We saw 7 bags of dog crap on this trail. 2 of the bags were left at the parking lot - can you not put these bags in your vehicle, on your windshield or tie it to your door handle?
Please do not leave your bags of dog crap on the ground. If you cannot carry it with you - leave your dog at home. And no, these were not left there to pick up on the way back, we were one of the 1st hikers there in the morning, the bags were already on the ground.
No one needs to see this, it is totally disgusting.

I endorse these sentiments and would add: if you know you are hiking with a dog why can't you plan to put something (like something as simple as a bag) in your backpack so you can easily carry the poop bags out? I mean, do you think the people behind you really want to encounter that stuff? I like to think of WA state hikers as being a community. We should all do our part to make hiking the best experience it can be for everyone.
