Thanks to NPS personnel, there are log bridges to get you across the Carbon River riverbed to the falls. The trail is easy to follow with a couple boot trail paths to potential viewpoints, some better than others due to foliage growth. Attempted to hike to the top, knowing it was an unmaintained trail at a certain point, but started climbing through, over and under multiple downed trees, some of them jackstrawed. The unmaintained section was heavily adorned with foliage growth but the footpath was still recognizable. Felt like we needed to bushwack our way through after 50 yards or so and turned around.
