We hiked from Rock Creek Pass south to Three Corner Rock. This is a very pleasant stretch of forest with some nice wildflowers blooming, but the real show was ahead. The meadows at Three Corner Rock are bursting with beargrass, paintbrush, and other wildflowers right now. It's quite a sight. On top of that, the views are fantastic on a clear day and you can see Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, and the top part of Mt. St. Helens.
Be aware that the there is a radio tower near the rock and its access road is open to the public, so you may have motorized company. Four dirt bikes arrived while we were there, as well as a maintenance truck for the radio tower.
