Palouse to Cascades Trail - Tekoa Trailhead — Saturday, Jun. 7, 2025

Eastern Washington > Palouse and Blue Mountains
Rolling Hills near Idaho border

The hike from the town Tekoa east to the Idaho border along the rail trail makes for a fun one way 6 mile bike or hike along the P2C trail. Starting from the trailhead parking area and going eastbound the tread is a combination of loose gravel and packed dirt. There are a couple of rough sections along the trail where a tractor has tore up the trail for several hundred feet but it is easily passable when dry. The trail is level with some beautiful scenery, especially in the early morning. You hike through wheat fields, and rolling forest hills. Much of the trail is shaded, although there is no water available. Be sure to cross the 975’ in length  Tekoa Bridge on your return for some excellent viewing of the town and the adjacent terrain.
