Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Humpback Mountain by Tom Glanz

Tinkham is in tougher shape with potholes but passable for sure if you take it slow (no issue in the jeep). Other FS roads were actually a bit better. Started at 9a and there were a handful of other cars. The turn on to the main trail from the road is easy to find if you have a map open. Then it'd just straight up with about 3 flat breaks the entire way. A couple downed trees which weren't too bad to navigate and as other reviewers mentioned you do have to find your way through 3-5 talus/boulder fields. Nothing too dangerous but a slip could really really hurt or have you falling further if you're reckless. Could be very tough with kids or dogs, depending.

The summit is more talus but with plenty of great spots to rest and phenomenal views. Bugs were around by the time we were on top but still not too bad. They stuck around most of the way down. One small snow pack available nearby the summit for cooling yourself 😊.

The way down was pretty tough, lots of slips and slides where rocks were covered by needles or roots were slick. Trees were helpful but we also got decently scraped up a few times. The approach to both FS roads were basically a slide to get down safely. We saw about 3 parties on way up, 3 on way down.

All in all, this hike is pretty relentless. I'd rate it as hard just for the ratio of feet gained per mile and the mentally taxing nature of it both up and down. Crowds were minimal for a gorgeous June day, no pass required, and views were good! Legs are feeling it today. Bring some poles and maybe an ace bandage 😉.
