Well if that wasn't an adventure! The hike up is just a boot path with a million tiny switchbacks. It's steep, the entire way, but as another reviewer said "Despite 1k per mile, the trail was interesting enough to take your mind off it." Very true. Once you get 2/3 you climb the ridge line with some minor scrambling. Nothing too difficult though, but you will use both hands and feet. The it's just a slop up a meadow. Songbird itself it a little clear patch on the ridgeline with some beautiful views. Went down by Macchu Piccu on the way down. I don't recommend this. The old logging roads are grown in with a ton of saplings. Bushwacked to Zig Zag Trail which was quite the spunky hike that lived up to it's name. Overall fun time exploring!
