Beautiful day to hike up to Minotaur! I arrived at the trailhead at ~9:30AM and it took me about two hours to get to the lake. The last stretch of gravel road to get there can be a bit sketchy at some points - watch for potholes! But, I think it would be doable for most cars.
The first half of the hike was strenuous - you gain most of your elevation here. Once you get through the switchbacks and climbing, it becomes much more forgiving. The trail itself was in good condition. There were a lot of loose rocks/roots, so watch your step (especially on the way down). There were some sections of the trail still covered in snow, but it did not present any huge problems (just a little slippery). I ate lunch near the cliff edge overlooking Theseus (would recommend).
And as many other hikers have said, prepare for the mosquitoes and load up on bug spray. They become less annoying/less frequent as you climb, though.
Overall, it was a great hike and the views were definitely worth it!

Curious if the surrounding areas near the lake has thawed out? Hoping to maybe do this as a backpacking trip this weekend!

The surrounding area didn’t seem to have that much snow left over. I wouldn’t say completely thawed out - definitely some patches here and there - but doable. I’d bring some poles just to be safe!
