This is a popular area and it shows with a full parking lot and cars even parked out along the highway. The trail starts from the same point as the Maple Pass/Lake Ann (at the information sign). Great signage points you to the left.
This paved trail has an easy grade and crosses a couple of bridges over beautiful streams. The trail is nice and shady with some big benches for taking a break. The lake is beautiful and there are places where you can get in for a swim, if that appeals. There are also some benches at the lake.
