Gunn Peak — Wednesday, Jul. 2, 2025

I’ve wanted to check Gunn off my scrambling list for awhile and was stoked to finally do it yesterday. The stats are no joke, but a solid challenge. GPS is a must - even from the start to cross the creek at the right point lol. For a lot of the trail the path is obvious, but there are multiple points where it’s important to have it, especially once you’re dropping down and around cliff bands to start Gunn proper. 

Some snowfields left but didn’t pose any issues. My ice axe got a free ride, but I brought it just in case. Scramble is snow-free aside from a snowfield in the boulder field, which I preferred to rock hopping, and in the upper gulley. Hiking poles helped here. An amazing day out there and the summit felt well earned.
