The trail to Lake 22 was good. There were a couple spots where you had to climb over a big rock or tree, but overall just normal uphill walking. There's one section that is all rocks and can be dangerous if you're not paying attention (the rocks are smaller but loose and shift as you walk). The elevation gain was a bit rough, but it was worth it in the end.
We went up early in the morning, 7am and there was only one other person we saw on the trail, then less than a dozen already at the lake. By the time we were coming down around 1000 there were a lot more people climbing up.
