Excellent time. There were multiple snowfield crossings, but all were manageable. Absolutely beautiful.
Road: The Mt Baker highway is clear and well paved. No trouble traveling to the trailhead.
Trail: Very muddy in areas near lakes and melting snow. My trail runners got soaked. There are multiple snow crossings near Artist point and the saddle by Table Mountain. The saddle provided some difficulty, as the snow is still thick and the incline is high. Be careful with footing. Snow is melting everywhere onto the trail which provides plenty of drinking water for those using water treatment.
Bugs: While hiking, not too bad. When I set up camp and stopped moving they became unbearable and I took shelter in my tent.
Overall great experience and worth the bug bites. Be careful on the snow fields but it is melting fast.
