Nannie Ridge-Sheep Lake, Walupt Lake and Walupt Creek — Monday, Jul. 14, 2025

South Cascades > Goat Rocks
Walupt Lake from the ridge

We did the Nannie Ridge-Sheep Lake trail starting at the Walupt Lake Trail near the campground. After passing Sheep Lake we took a right onto the PCT and did the loop back to Walupt Lake for a total of 14.5 miles. The trail is in good shape all the way with just a few small blow downs to cross. The mosquitoes were horrible in a few places, but luckily there was a strong enough breeze to help keep them away  for a good part of the day. The 25% Deet was nearly useless. Tons of wildflowers out. Nice streams for water so we didn’t have to use the lakes.
