Did this is a trail run (I power hiked the steeper uphill sections and the downhill sections where scree made it dangerous).
Started at deer Park and turned around at elk mountain junction (10.5 miles and about 2800 feet climbing). Met a great group of hikers and stopped for pictures.
Beautiful weather. So many flowers, many uncommon alpine plants. I have a special place in my heart for Eriogonum and the buckwheat cushions were blooming. A great day.
