We did this starting on the Westside Road in Rainier NP, biking up the Westside Rd, hiking past Lake George and the Gobbler’s Knob connector, down past Goat Lake, and up to Mount Bejilca. We then reversed adding Gobbler’s Knob lookout on the way back. Total stats: 20.9 miles, 5,970 feet of elevation gain.
Mosquitos were nasty past Goat Lake up to Bejilca. Several blowdowns to navigate and good navigation helped. No snow.
This was a very full day for us. We started in the trail at 7 AM, done at 3 PM. Definitely not a very popular trail since the regular Forest service road to this trailhead is still washed out making this quite a long day hike.
