Mineral Creek — Friday, Jul. 18, 2025

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway

We hiked the Mineral Creek Trail on Friday. We got to the trail about 7:15 am and there were five cars in the small parking lot. The first part of the trail is a bit of a mess. I've been on this trail so many times I just know where to go, but if you stay to the left of the creek for maybe 40 yards, there are several places you can cross safely on a tree. Once you get across the creek, there is a trail and some ribbons on two trees to help guide you up to the official trail.

It looks like a crew recently brushed the entire trail again. Mad props to those workers. The trail is in great condition. There were only a few very short sections that were bushy. The trail up to Park Lake was brushed out, too. This made the trail much easier to manage.

There were a couple trees across the trail you can go over or under. We went up to the PCT and then down to Glacier Lake. The bugs were insufferable all day, everywhere. I wore my bug net most of the day. There was no breeze either, but it was a beautiful day. We logged 14.5 miles to Glacier Lake and 4000 ft of elevation. We were on the trail just under 8 hours.
