I hiked this trail with some family members on a Thursday. The parking lot was mostly empty at 10am when I arrived. The trail is relatively flat and the large bridge were in great condition. We hiked 3.5 miles out on the trail.
Throughout the hike we saw a variety of wildflowers, thimble berries, and salmon berries! They were delicious. Most of the creeks we passed were dry but there is a water source at least once a mile. All the small bridges were in good condition minus one which was passable but had damage. After about 1.5 miles the trail gets a bit overgrown and we had to walk through a lot of bushes every quarter mile or so. We ended up eating along the river about 3 miles down the trail.
The hike was very quiet and peaceful and we mostly heard birds and the occasional sound of the river. We heard swainson's thrush, varied thrush, american robins, chestnut chickadees, and other birds.
