This was a big day but fantastic! It’s a steady climb up to the pass through all the elevation zones and then a low risk path up to the wide peak with truly 360 degree views of seemingly the whole state! One of the best views I’ve ever seen.
I got a 6:30 start and didn’t see a single person all day. It was definitely warm coming down but not terrible. The forecast for Cle Elum was in the low 80s.
There was plenty of water almost all the way to the pass, just beyond the upper campgrounds.
Highly recommended and a new go to favorite.
