I hiked to Skyscraper pass as described here on WTA, on my way back I detoured up to first Burroughs from the 5 way junction, then back to Sunrise via Shadow Lake and the Sunrise Rim trail.
Trail terrain: Trail is wide and well-used. Rocky in many places. Initially steep up to Sourdough Ridge, then more gradual ups and downs throughout the rest.
Views along trail: Outstanding views the entire way!
Trail traffic: Quite heavy on a weekday until past the split to Berkely park. I probably saw about 100 people out on the trail, and of course thousands in the Sunrise parking area!
Rating: Outstanding views, and mostly moderate grade makes this a 5 out of 5 for me.
I'm not really a wildflower nut, but if you are, there are prolific wildflower meadows throughout much of this hike right now!
