This trail has been used as an OHV trail and is less traveled on foot. The train remains flat at first and parallels Hwy 410. It begins climbing with some switchbacks, and then there is a section straight up in some soft dirt (due to the OHV use). The trail is completely shaded until you reach a rock lookout at about 1 mile. From here, you can see Old Scab Mountain in the distance. The trail continues for another 0.6 of a mile and meets up with trail 952 to the right and 954 to the left along Fifes Ridge. I took 954 to the left for a short distance to see if there were any further views. After about a quarter mile, I turned back.
