Quartz Creek — Saturday, Jul. 26, 2025

Pleasant, lightly used forest wander terminating in a cute meadow. Trail is pretty mellow, some blowdowns but nothing challenging for my friend’s dog. Several easy creek crossings provided doggy water but didn’t get our feet wet. A couple nice waterfalls along the way. Many ripe blueberries and huckleberries for snacking, lots of butterflies and flowers in the meadow. The parking lot was a little crowded but almost everyone was set for other adventures- we only saw 3 people all day. This trail connects to others for long hikes and backpacking loops, but is also a lovely day hike for forest fans.
