This is mainly a report of the road to the trailhead, I was part of a WTA work party so I didn't hike the entire trail up to the viewpoint. I have a very low clearance, front wheel drive car (Honda Fit) and I was able to make it up to the trailhead just fine. The road is long and there are a lot of nasty potholes but most of the bad ones there is a clear way to avoid going right over them as long as you take it slow and carefully. Some of the worst spots are on the paved sections so I would go slow along those as well. I took a few pictures of the road but there are some worse spots that are also flagged by signs on the road. Totally doable in any car I think, just go slow and let all the 4WD vehicles pass you by. The trail itself is worth it, super pretty forest and waterfalls, and from what I hear there are fantastic views as well (I'll definitely be back soon to hike the whole way).

So you were the Honda Fit! We commented on the fact that a Honda Fit was able to get up there. Did your work party cross the stream? We were the 2 old ladies that did the work party on Friday and hiked it on Saturday, chickened out at the stream crossing

We didn't cross the stream, only went up to just before the first stream crossing. Better safe than sorry when it comes to doing water crossings!
