We hiked from the Comet Falls trailhead to Van Trump Park and then went back to the junction with Mildred Point and hiked onto Mildred.
Up to Van Trump meadow there are some big steps and there was just a little bit of scrambling for me with short legs.
On your way to Mildred you cross over a creek where you are above Comet Falls where you just came.
The wildflowers were pretty at Van Trump park but even better as you hiked up towards Mildred Point. Views are expansive from Van Trump and on the climb up to Mildred.
The last part to Mildred is very steep with looser dirt. Fortunately it is not a long section and there is no dropoff or anything. Well worth it. It feels like you are very close to the mountain from Mildred Point. Strange to see much more bare rock from that vantage point.

For some reason I have trouble posting new pics. Full disclosure some of these pics are from Tatoosh Point. You are closer to the mountain at Van Trump & Mildred. Wildflowers both places were stunning
