It was a overcast day, yet the temperature was nearly 70° and there were a lot of people on the trail for the first 1/3 of it. It was a little irritating. But once you got past the ledge, I only encountered a handful of hikers and a group of trail runners… I had a beautiful trail mostly to myself.
It’s a very soft trail on the last half towards the top, great for your knees and feet. There were two areas where the bushes were a bit overgrown, but it didn’t last for very long. There were some camp robber birds at the two benches at the top that we’re looking for handouts. They were super cute!
I did it with my 20 pound weight vest, and it was still a great training hike, but still very pleasant and moderate.
