Road is in great shape with just a handful of
Potholes.
I arrived around 8:45AM on a Friday and there were parking spots available in both lots.
Toilet was clean and stocked.
Trail was in great condition. It is a gentle incline to the pass and then gets steeper as you head to the peak. Most people on trail were backpackers coming in for the weekend. Only four other day hikers that I saw.
Flowers are out and beautiful. I don’t know all the names but there is a good variety.
Bugs were not bad. Mostly saw or heard them in the meadows.
Plenty of water sources. Trail is mostly exposed with the occasional tree coverage for shade.
Encountered a bear on trail on my way out. Between the 1.5 - 2.5 mile area of heading in. Screamed Hey Bear several times and he ventured into the bushes to go around me and then got back on trail.
Was an amazing day on trail.
