Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

We definitely suggest that you have a high clearance vehicle to drive the forest road. We would’ve never made it in a smaller car and thankful we had bronco. So many big potholes it took us about 45 minutes to drive to the parking lot.
when we got there, there were only two cars in the parking lot at about 10:30 AM and we only saw about eight people on the whole trail.

The trail itself was in great shape. We really didn’t have any huge obstacles except at the top when we had to do a little rock scramble to get to the top.

Once  we got there, we had the whole place for ourselves to eat our lunch for about 25 minutes. I could not believe the views, absolutely incredible. We found a perfect large rock to eat on and just felt so grateful that I live so nearby most of these amazing trails.

About five more people came up just as we were finishing our lunch, so we gladly stepped aside so they could have the perfect view and we worked our way back down.

I was the only one in my group who seemed to attract horseflies, but it wasn’t horrible.

Highly recommend
