Elbo Creek — Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025

Olympic Peninsula > Hood Canal

Was on a WTA work party working on the top 1 mile of the trail for two days. We were able to clear some tripping hazards and build up rock walls to shore up some narrow sections of the trail. The forest is beautiful and the dense tree cover can protect from light rain. Lots of rhododendrons which were cool to see and plants that don't have chlorophyl.

If you enjoy adventuring on the trails you see here and want to support WTA's efforts to build and maintain trails in Washington, consider supporting my Hike-a-Thon campaign: http://give.wta.org/AlisonGale2025
