No matter the season, Franklin Falls always had a lot to offer. This time did not disappoint.
Headed there after work on a Tuesday. Arrived at the trailhead at 5pm and there was plenty of parking.
From the parking, follow the trail down and across the road to the marked trailhead on the right beyond the restrooms and before the bridge. The trail follows the river with occasional views of small cascades. Towards the end, the trail heads up for a few 100 feet before coming back down to meet the falls.
This is an easy trail that is great for hikers of all ages. Going down for closeups of the falls requires navigating a steeper stone that can be tricky when it's raining or icy. Today was super hot and not that. 10 or so adults and kids were taking advantage to swim in the falls. We only stayed a few minutes before heading back.
Stats: 2.59 miles; 453 ft. elevation gain; 58 minutes; 3.5 avg. mph
